The Balloon Game

THE BALLOON GAME! An objective based game for all shapes and sizes.

The scenario...

A plane holding a coded message is shot down over enemy lines and in the crash the 5 pieces to a message for POTUS are scattered in an enemies stronghold. A team of Special Ops soldiers are sent on a mission to extract all 5 pieces to HQ as to ensure the enemy does not discover the message. The Special Ops soldiers are given the task to retrieve all 5 pieces of the message and extract it to their HQ, the Bad Guys goal is simple - kill the Special Ops and prevent them from retrieving the balloon messages.


Basic Set-Up:
- Two Teams:
*Vest (Special Ops) - 30% of Total Players - 4 Hits/Per Spec Op
vs.
*Non-Vest (Bad Guys) - 70% of Total Players - 2.5 x # of Non-Vest Players = # of Respawns shared among the team (BHD Skinny Style)

- 5 Balloon Targets, each with a secret message inside
- Team Deathmatch Rules apply to Vest (Spec Ops) team
- Black Hawk Down (Somalis) Rules apply to Non-Vest (Bad Guys) team
- ^^^^^ For Hit calling and respawns - all ACQB rules apply to both teams
Objectives:

- Vest (Special Ops)
*Scout the area, find and extract the messages hidden inside the 5 Balloons scattered throughout the field
*Survive the mission

-Non-Vest (Bad Guys)
*Kill The Special Ops
*Survive the mission

Set Up:

- A ref will place 5 balloons, each with a piece of paper inside of them, around the field. No one is given the exact location of the balloons but everyone should understand their are 5 balloons on the field.

- The Vest team Must return to the prep room with all 5 pieces of paper from inside the balloons, whether the balloons are intact or not.

- The Non-Vest team cannot move or relocate the balloons as it should be assumed they are rigged to explode.

- The Vest team will spawn in the corner vent and be released on the mark of the ref

- The Non vest team will spawn throughout the field as it is their stronghold, they cannot start with LOS (line of sight) of the Vest team

- Vents are open (secret tunnel throughout the fortress)

- When the Non-Vest team (Bad Guys) reach their maximum number of respawns they are to exit the field after their last "death"


The first team to complete their objectives wins - unless the ref says otherwise.

I feel that the Non-Vest team being able to spawn anywhere but in LOS isn't that good because the Vest guys spawn in the corner of the vents, they pretty much only have 2 ways to go (If they move quick enough).

The non-vest team may just sit around the corner from being in LOS and spray them in the beginning.

Try and pick certain areas they can spawn in, like Embassy, Warehouse, etc.

Actually from Corner Vent you can go in many directions - Through the vent itself, into embassy, towards A, towards Warehouse or defend the corner vent. I chose the corner vent as the starting position for the Spec Ops because it gives them a lot of options and spawns them on the field and not in the Prep room which is easily camped. Also - if some of the Bad Guys do start near Corner vent there will be some instant action and I HIGHLY doubt the entire Bad Guy (Non Vest) team will decide to start within firing distance of the Spec Ops players.

I mean by making that many openings available to them, that also includes the other team. Even if they aren't in LOS, the bad guys can be right around the corner and not allow them to move to some places.

We can try it out and if we see anything that should be changed add it on here.

A couple of things we should change if we want to keep playing this:

-Spawn System: A 30 second grace period to go to one room (A preset room) after you check off that you died. No shooting or raising your gun to the ready position.
-Make it more clear that the opfor can spawn anywhere, everyone sat against the back wall when we played, so they had to rush everywhere


Whatever Tiny said, add that too if it makes sense.
