First off, even the real P90 is not full metal, so forget about that. Many retailers carry the Tokyo Mauri P90 tri-rail. I forget exactly where I got mine, PowerEdgeUSA, I think (they were in Hawaii). shipping is expensive, but their price was the best by far.

Upgrade it to a 9.6V battery and two hi-cap mags and you are all set.

No need to be metal. Its a polymer casing on the p90 (think glock or any new top op pistol). Great weapon especially in tight places, like a clown car that they always put us in on asignments in India LOL
I carry a cut down ak alot in Africa and Pakistan. Works the treat. I think they make a spetnaz ak version in airsoft right?

youre right about the ak, they make it. i just happen to be an indian. so the indian army uses the p90? odd. its generally a sidearm for tankers and vehicular soldiers right? so they dont have to carry big guns?

I have bought them from both www.airsoftcqb.com and www.evike.com
both had good prices, both delivered exactly what I expected...

I believe redwolf and airsoft globel both carry metal upper recivers for them...

Simple, the P90 is a CQB weapon. It needs to be light, accurate, durable, flexable.

The polymer casing on the P90 is both light and strong. making it full metal would only serve to make it Too heavy...

have a good one(and P90's RULE!!!)

No frees, you are correct, they (Indian military) use the ak in India but my weapon of choice (as a BG there) is the p90 since I can keep it hidden below the car door easily and not draw any attention in transit. I actually started to use the fn57 there because of the law that said nothing bigger than a .25cal. It was funny as heck when they looked at these cartridges when we first imported them in... yeah at 5.7mm it was within the specs LOL still needed a special permit and clearance to use it and as such we asked for the p90's. The p90 is the best I've used in combat (urban style) for its role. And Yeah it was designed to be a bullpup for small area carry like tankers.

i knew it! i feel smart...no wait its gone. im happy to see there are a lot of p90 fans on the site. and now i know about it not being full metal. what kind of assignments do you get over there?

...what kind of assignments do you get over there?

The web isn't exactly the best place to describe details of my work, eh? LOL
But I mostly do work with executives, business men a few of the rich playboys there and train people at our school. We have some billionaire clients there that have massive parties we provide protection for. Last new years we had over 4,000 people at the party.

Here is a pic of my wife, my business partner (I call him dad) and me. Can you guess who is who? Yeah those are our radios we use and yes my wife is smoking a post party cigar with us. LOL I have the world's coolest wife.

lessee...your wife is obviously the bald man:rolleyes: or not. youre holding hands with her, and i believe this man named "dad" is the bottle of champagne.
but i see what you mean about not talking about assignments on the web.

????? What the hell are you talking about??? lecture you?
you asked a question, I answered it.

1. Niether one of those guns are the ORIGINAL P90. I dont have to google to find you an answer.

2.The P90TR is the only P90 currently made for airsoft, That means it IS the P90.

3.There is ABSOLUTLY no internal differance in the TM P90 and the TM P90TR they use ALL the same parts, the only differance is the reddot vrs tri rail.

4. The TM P90TR is BETTER then the older reddot version because you can add your own accesseries(including the reddot of your choice)

5. you asked is this gun like the same as the p90? You got an answer not a lecture. Learn the differance and try not being a smartass when someone is nice enought to answer a question FOR you...

hey no hostility but still dude you could've searched for the other p90 and said this is a different form of the p90 and tokyo marui has another

it's how you answered my question is all.

i'm sorry if me calling it a lecture was offensive but sorry sir i don't think i'm a smartass

think it was much more offensive of you to call me a smartass than me calling it a lecture...

First off TM makes them both, second the older P90 is not made anymore, there is ONLY ONE airsoft P90(that is not a LPEG) still made, it is the P90 TR how is that hard to understand?

it's how you answered my question is all.

So YOU read more into my answer then what is there and somehow I am wrong for it??? You asked a question, it was answered, there was no lecture.

i'm sorry if me calling it a lecture was offensive but sorry sir i don't think i'm a smartass
You calling it a "lecture" was not what made your post smartass. #1 your implying that I need to GOOGLE to answer a simple question was the first part. If YOU had searched around alittle you would have found out that P90's is what I do... I have more time, money, and effort into my P90's then alot of guys have into there whole loadout. #2 If you are going to GOOGLE the subject anyways then why ask the question in the firstplace? #3 YOU asked a question about something you did not know and got an answer from someone that does, and instead of a simple "thanks" or even "thats not really what I was asking" you chose to play symantics with me...

Look If you take my Remington M700 rifle and add a scope mount and a scope, it does not magically change the FACT that it is still a M700, samething applies here... The P90 TR is EXACTLY the same gun... TM was nice enough to add a tri rail on there(same as a scope mount for the M700) so you could choose your own attachments... It is still the P90.

think it was much more offensive of you to call me a smartass than me calling it a lecture...

THINK what you want. Noone who takes the time to learn, practice , and work on something as much as I have for the P90, likes to have someone try to flex there GOOGLE skills on the internet so they can look like they know a little something.

Now if you can put this in the past, next time you have a question about the P90, the version 6 gearbox it uses, the upgrades that do and do not work in it, the proper shimming method for it, the external upgrades, body kits, box mags and the proper set up of it, what batteries will and wont fit, and how to make batteries that wont fit stock, fit, or anything else about the P90 I will be happy to help....
Fair?

i think the story is that tokyo marui broke the molds for the p90 with the red dot sight or something similar, and thus they don't make them anymore...

Alacris

The tri-rail is better all around.

The TM integrated optics were a fairly ugly and small red dot. The real P90 has a tritium holo sight. Sorta like a yellow dot with a crisp ring around it. Not powered, small aperture, very difficult to remove and replace with a rail. It would have been much better for an Eotech style sight in there with the low profile, but I'm sure that would have cost a lot more.

The tri rail lets you do whatever you want. I have a crappy red/green dot on it. Some just have a laser. Others have BSA or Eotechs on there. The paralax from sighting is a bit more, but for CQB it will not make a difference (and if you need to take a shot at more than 100 feet in airsoft or 100 yards in real life you should be using another weapon :) )

holy incredibly random question batman...

anyways, i don't think anyone (that i know of) uses bayonets here... but I know they make plastic ones, rubber ones, and plastic ones where the blade goes down into the handle when you stab somone or something...

i have seen people using lightsabers at ACQB... sort of curious...

Yes there are rubber K-Bar's etc etc etc.... They are frowned on for noobs at CQB because you REALLY have to know who you are pulling it on...
Like Tim said, there are too many players at ACQB that are, SWAT, DEA, USMC, Army, LEO's, etc etc etc that might have a trained responce to a knife being pulled. Last thing we need is someone getting an arm broke because someones training took over in the heat of the moment.

Yeah, I have seen this so many times in the real world. We get new guys on our BG teams that come straight out of military and overeact to everything. Most seals, we hired, have been like this. They are good at what they orginaly are trained to do, but bg work (as we do that is) is another specialty field. Someone holds a pen out for an autograph and they break the guys arm (seen it several times now). It's mostly a lack of experience in "open threat" (meaning the threat is possible but not always real, it requires lighting split judgement which comes with experince in the area needed, secret service guys are actually the best that I know of) I've also seen it on entry teams (another entire story there) My Aunt, retired SS, is one who has the site skill, she said almost all SS protection agents get it from scanning crowds. I'd like to claim her skill but she was active over 30 years where as I'm on year 19 myself LOL.

My first interest in airsoft was for training purposes. Hopefully for retraining so many of the bad habits safely.

But I look at it as play as well. I just hope it is all fun. It is quite costly for me. I'll not be back at my work till June. I've managed to make some money this week though, so I'll be there Friday for sure. (I'll be the guy in the bright orange t shirt and burmuda shorts) :D
