Reading Woo's post on his medic variation, another though sprang into my mind. Minor modification on how the standard medic game is played.

The simple change would be to allow the enemy medic to permanently kill wounded members of the other team. I.e., if the enemy medic "heals" you, you're permanently out, as if you lost all your lives and were shot.

I'm curious to see as to what that would do to the dynamic of the game. On one hand, it'd make the medic super powerful as an aggressor (he could wound someone and then permakill them), but it'd also open up the dynamics the game, hopefully encouraging more aggressive play (if that's even needed on a medic game).

I have played some medic games where my team has been doing very well. We control a good majority of the field. The enemy has dead lying everywhere screaming "cheesy poofs!" with little chance of being "healed".

This (and Woo's original concept) would be a good way to clear the field of obsticals and allow players to leave that will never be rescued. I'd be interested in giving this a try.

I was surprised in that this game actually went pretty well. Apart from getting shot by my own team. Twice. Blasting through their lines with the medic killing off the opposing team was pretty cool.

One guy suggested after the game that there be an additional "nurse" character per team that can just heal, but not kill. I don't know if it's necessary.

Definitely should be tried a few more times before the rules get finalized, but I think it has promise.

Important Note: Upon Jason's suggestion, the name of the game has been changed to "Kevorkian."

This definitely needs to go in the rotation. I loved this game, not b/c we won, but b/c it is even more ruthless than cutthroat medic.

What is funny is that the guy that made the "nurse" comment was our medic that thought it was too unfair that we slaughtered everyone. I beg to differ. I think we slaughtered the other team b/c their medic was inexperienced and was killed within five minutes. I think they told me that he just stayed back and got killed. With this new game the medic is even more important.

Teams either need to be less aggressive or more reliant on the medic. A squad cannot just do a suicide rush deep into the other side and expect to eventually be healed. In this version they could wind up dead.

Bottom line, I loved it and want more.
