A quick review of my only pistol: a gas blow back HFC M9 (Beretta 92) with select fire capability.

One nice thing about ACQB is that Steve lets you try a bunch of different pistols out to make sure they fit right, are comfortable, and that you are satisfied with the build quality, fit, and finish.

This was the only one that I liked the balance on, could draw well from my vest, and could shoot with gloves on. I wanted to like the Glock, but it just didn't draw well from the vest. Some of the others just didn't feel right with gloves on, but this one was a perfect fit.

The bad news: the first one I got was a lemon. It shot well, but every once in a while would drop the hammer when you racked the slide (with the safety on). This would cause the gun to go off full auto unintentionally. As you can imagine, the first time, this scares the crap out of you.

Safety note: ALWAYS wear your goggles when playing with airsoft guns, and ALWAYS keep the gun pointed towards something you don't mind destroying.

Something in the safety mechanism wasn't catching right and it was pushing down on the trigger mechanism, which was the same bar that releases the hammer. Steve at ACQB took it right back and swapped it out. New one is perfect. No complaints.

If you are going to get a pistol, I highly recommend you get a full auto one. It's less realistic, but oh is it fun!

Build quality is top notch. Metal slide and frame, pretty rugged, and the sights are nuts on accurate out of the box (at 25 feet or so). It can fire single or double action and you can carefully decock it from the single action point, but usually I just put the safety on.

My only complaint is that the safety is hard to manipulate. It's a long reach for my thumb, but I'm getting better with practice. usually I take the safety off before starting a game, so it's not an issue.

It shoots right at 300 fps, so it is legal for ACQB play. I believe each mag holds 30 rounds or so. Even at full auto, they last longer than you'd expect.

Overall I am very satisfied with this pistol.

7/10 (it lost a bit for the safety and the lemon I got first)

How fast can you empty a full mag on full auto?

I want to say under four seconds, but I'd have to time it with a stopwatch to be sure.

Hmm... amazing. Mine's enroute, I'll put another review here when I have the chance. Hopefully, it won't be a lemon too.

i got to shoot this gun for the first time on 3/10/06 and it was amazing. i had my eye on it for a while b/c i thought it was a good value. but when i got to shoot it, well, that just sold me. i cant wait till i have enough $ for this thing.

i have one of these... i like it alot... i didn't run into the same problem that alacris did, so i guess its just a fluke, rather than the norm...

Dan,
Mine did not start doing this until after 5 or 6 trips to ACQB and about a dozen times of shooting in my basement.

It's caused by gunk getting into the mechanism (safety rod on the slide and trigger slide on the body of the pistol). Once I cleaned this out, it works fine again.

So there is such a thing as over-lubing the gun.

I ran pistol only several times on Friday and had a great time. It really forces you to move and select your shots rather than hose down an area.

Why is that?

Great gun but the ksc/kwa glock 18c is better

my .02 *plink*

The G18c is PRONE to jamming, just like the real thing, when properly worn in, the gun works fine for maybe half a night, but once its been sitting around, I wouldn't trust it to empty a mag without jamming. The m9 in semi is just as flawless as the standard m9, with full, I believe that the m9 is just as good/better in that it doesn't jam NEARLY as much.

The both guns are prone to having broken internal parts and both guns are prone to jamming....JUST LIKE REAL FULL AUTO PISTOLS:D ....there's a reason SMGs were made. Anywho, I wouldn't say that one is better, especially since they're both completely different pistols.....and if I did, I'd back it up:p

i concer(?). By the way, i got the gun and its pretty awesome. i have had only one problem; the accuracy is not the best. its kind of inconsistent especialy when ur firing really fast in semi or full auto, but i guess thats common. btw has anyone ever heard of putting a tight bore barell in a pistol? id like to if i could

Yes you can put a tightbore barrel in a pistol, you can also change out the springs, valves, and slides. Also, you can extend the barrel if you put a silencer on said pistol.
