Scenario idea for ACQB:

Need a wagon, large cardboard box, or some other object that's fairly sizeable. I'll call it a wagon.

Wagon starts off in the center of the field at the embassy end of main hallway. The objective is to get the wagon to the other team's side (emergency exit on embassy side, corridor between bank and 7-11 on bank side). Once it's there, game is over.

The twist that makes this different than a regular game of center flag is the fact that the wagon cannot be brought outside of the main hallways (whatever would be legal in a hallway game). There is no bringing the wagon inside cover, and if you're moving the wagon, you should be exposed. If you're shot with the wagon, you have to leave it, and disengage. This makes sure that the entire team has to push forward, not just one fast runner, since chances are there's no way a single person could run totally exposed into another team without getting shot.

This would probably work best with two hits, no respawn., but that could go either way.

I love it. I'm sure Steve has plenty of large cardboard boxes lying around. Plus BB cut right through cardboard.

Given that movement of the box is limited I think this would have to be a 2 hit game. Otherwise it would go on forever.

Played this last Friday (5/19/06) and it seemed to work out really well. Played it as a respawn game.

Used ACQB's bomb prop as the "wagon." A bit smaller than what I was originally intending, but otherwise the rules stayed the same.

Ended up playing two games. The first one was freaking intense. Vicious can only partly describe what was going on. Unfortunately, as my team was starting to push the "wagon" past C buildling towards the other team's end point, somebody called the game. Why? We may never know, but all of a sudden, everybody's walking off the field, and the box is still behind C building.

Second game, our team got rolled on by Team PAIN through B Building (where else?). In our defense, and as the person that was going into B, the game just sort of abruptly started. JohnnyDime and myself were still discussing strategy, and all of a sudden someone asks if the game started. Apparently it had, and we all took off a few seconds too late. I got caught in main hallway. For anybody that's played with my, me getting caught on the way to B Buildling in the main hallway has NEVER happened before, so I was slightly peeved at the refs for both games. Really need a megaphone for some of the younger refs up in that stand.

That said, I think the game shows promise. I may try to see how it plays as a two-hit game, but the respawn game was fun enough. Everybody else seemed to enjoy it as well, so this may become a regular game (especially as it doesn't require any specialized props).

Good to hear. I knew this game had potential. I would love to see it played as it was intended, with a large box.

Yeah, besides the mix-up's, it was a lot of fun. Having a wagon might make it a bit more interesting, but it's hardly necessary.

I played the first one, that fell to pieces once game was called. The only problem with it was there needed to be a more clear understanding of what is and is not a hallway. People got confused, and then angry. Other than that, this is a great game, especially when (at least in the case of the first game) the teams are so evenly matched.
