Well, I have a flashlight currently sitting on my p90 which i don't use (because my thompson and K are more fun). I currently don't have any sort of light on my kit, and have found that to be sort of problematic... luckily my brother has a surefire in addition to gobs of weapon mounted lights that he lets me borrow occasionally...

Since a flashlight would look completely out of place on my thompson, and my holster won't fit a pistol with a light on it, I was thinking about mounting my light on the K...

Jason was saying at CQB that he was going to get a light and mount it on a top rail thingy on his K... Seems like a good plan, but it also seems that it would get in the way of the sights, which could be problematic...

My plan/idea was to get a really short bit of rail (about the length of one of the side rails of a p90tr) and screw that in to the side of the foregrip piece of the K, and mount the light off to the side...

Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find anywhere that sells really short bits of rail.

Any ideas or suggestions would be very helpful. Thanks alot...

Ah yes, my friend, I have your answer! I have SIR system on my PDW! check out where I bought it from here:

This has made my PDW able to take the flashlight, PEQ box with bigger batt, and if I used them, a laser. Plus the top rail goes all the way back to the rear site so you can mount a red dot or reflex scope as well.

does that dealie go over top of the rest of the body pieces, aside from the foregrip piece, or do you have to take off some more of the body pieces?

I only had to take off the foregrip. Which means I did have to put on another grip on the bottom rail. I actually prefer it without, but I gotta have somewhere for the flashlights remote switch to go. I did not have to take off anything else. I did have to loosen the screw on the rail system to get it on, otherwise you have to take off the front sight and put it back on.
