WE 1911 VS. Sig 226

What do you guys have to say about the WE Version 1 1911 vs. the Sig 226 ( i would get the metal slide). Im really not sure of which one i want. so shoot away.

I'm not real knowledgeable about the GBB/NBB's, but don't they all shoot basically the same? If so, the only thing you have to look at is style. And though I love a Sig, I'd take a 1911 over one anyday!!

yeah thanks. thats kinda the direction i was going. i have a Glock 17 right now...but the accuracy i terrible and i cant stand it...so im selling it. yeah i think i will go for the 1911

I sold my WE 1911 to buy a SIG 226, so that should give you a rough indication of where I stand on the matter. ;)

However, I did it because I put a lot of money into the SIG with a full metal kit, and simply because I prefer the feel of SIG pistols over 1911s (I shoot real steel SIGs).

Given the price difference, I'd probably take a WE.

Bear in mind, though, that a few of the WE pistols don't have the appropriate rail to mount lights on. If this is a concern, check before you buy. They have fancy grooves, but they're nonfunctional for the most part.
