German variant of the L96, cool rifle. There is a decent thread on it on airsoftretreat.com I'll post a link in the morning...

there you go. alot of guys were saying that it looks like the L96, like i said (IIRC) the G22 is th L96 built to german specs for the Bundeswehr.the only issue i see is the gas ot being in the mag, still if i get into the sniper role i might have to get this along with the SL9:cool:
From Wiki
Since 1998 the Bundeswehr fields an AWM-F chambered in .300 Winchester Magnum (7.62 x 67 mm in Bundeswehr nomenclature), with a 3-12x56 SSG telescopic sight made by the German company Zeiss, under the designation of G22 (for Gewehr 22) or Scharfschützengewehr 22 (sniper rifle 22). The German G22 rifles have folding stocks and emergency iron sights. For their G22 rifles the Bundeswehr claims an effective range of 1,100 m.

weird as the g22 by walther is a plinker 22 cal and is horribly ugly
this thing might be based on it but doesn't look like it and I think looks great
Now the question is, how good does it feel, can we foam the stock to make it more solid, does it shoot consistent and can we upgrade (tightbore/hopup)?

Great find jaberwaki!
Found out, it was never a walther g22 copy, only n name LOL
It's just supposed to be a sniper with a modern stock and it looks darn well perfect in that way. Adjustable cheek rest and all.
I'm curious to know if one could swap the gas internals for some sort of spring internals.
Gas sniper rifles manufactured to Japanese tolerances are hard enough to get running reliably.

maybe the l96 barrel/receiver will fit in that stock. I'd like that.

Looks very much like an aps2 type 96 with a gas bolt and (carrot I believe?) makes a stock very similar to that. Gas is great for plinking and it's quiet, but not quite as accurate as a springer usually. Run propane (dryer, keeps the hopup consistent) and it'll have a decent effective range I'd imagine. Let me know if you pick one up, doesn't look half bad...
