Has anybody ever thought about doing weeklong ops? I would think the only timethis would be possible is during the summer when people could get off for vactaion etc... but i wonder...

any thoughts?

Sounds like it would be very fun, but I could never do it. For me work is to busy during the summer to take off a entire week. Maybe a weekend or two, but thats about it.

Given the time commitment I doubt you will see these in the near future.

Waaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy to much to coordinate. You would have to have Medica staff on standby, local, state and possibly federal LE aware (nothing ruins a game more than the local SWAT team showing up and popping a cap in your ass), not to mention lodging (even camping sites have to be coordinated with latrines facilities, etc), food, water, clothing, bathing (can't not bath for a week!!!), and a million other little trivial things i've forgotten. No I doubt you will see this ever.

Not to mention that it'd get rather boring towards the end of it, assuming you're trapped on the same field. I mean, how many times can you take the same hill?

It'd be one thing for a full-on city to play in with thousands of people, but a hundred people on a couple hundred acres, stuck there for a week, would get tedious at best.

I want to go to something that would be all weekend, that way I can go and camp for a day, get a good two days of slinging plastic in.

it sounds pretty kool but a little too long. mabey we could do it for a weekend inseead on like on a campout or something. we could also do like night ops and stuff. it would be a lot easier to do it on private property (if u no a guy who nos a gut who nows a guy ect. ect.)that way we wouldnt need to do all that notifying and stuff. we could also make it vets only or no nOObs so that we no that everyone is tough enough to go a whole weekend w/o showering and stuff

how bout playing at a gigantic field and you pay 5 dollars for every day you stay?

it sounds cool

i would and could do it

sleeping in tents and keeping guard at night

like night attacks would be awesome

and in the morning we set out all cold and freezing at like 5 o'clock and we're shooting all around hahaha

it would be awesome

i did a 3 day one but it wasn't that big because their were only 12 people

3 teams and 4 people in each

we all had to use specific guns
like long range,scout(cqb),machiner gun

it was a blast but at the same time more people would've been better.

or if ACQB made a gigantic field for long wars like a week maybe?

it would give them great money

5 dollars a day and getting bbs over and over expanding to a huge field would rock : )

too bad we can't do week ones

unless we're at a rich friends' who has a gigantic back yard and stuff

I'm sure everyone's imaginied the 'perfect' lengthy game before. But the truth is that without a large amount of organization it won't turn out too well.

One day whilst daydreaming I thought of the skeletal warehouse me and my friends thought about buying, and a weeklong game we could hold there.

Of course the game type has little to do with how long a game it is, but I imagined this would be a capture-and-hold game, with the target being a "fort" on the second floor of the structure. It would have to be held for a long time (6/12/24 hours) and would be signified either by electronic timers (that start counting once you plug them into an outlet in the building) or by hoisting a flag and having the ref take note. The rest of the teams (there would be several) would be stationed out in the woods surrounding the building.

Since a lot of people wouldn't be able to stay the whole time, you could schedule to stay however long you wanted, and when you arrived you would be escorted to your selected team's position.

A game like this takes the logistics of the game "up a level." Now instead of wondering if you'll have enough gas for a match and swapping mags, you need to deal with "how many gas canisters will our team bring?" and "When can I put more BB's in my mags and recharge my batteries?"

Possibly we stock the fort with BB's and gas, and have outlets and chargers there, so if you want to stay effective, you need to take the fort every once and a while, even if you don't win.

Not entirely sure what this post was for... o.O
