Now that I’ve owned my Airsoft gear and equipment for a while now I am starting to see what toll playing takes on the tools of the trade. We’ve all had guns break (and if you haven’t yet, you will); but what else is breaking and wearing out?
So far:
--I’ve had several of my Glock mags die. They no longer hold gas worth a damn.
--I’ve also got my oldest hi cap mag for my M4 about to die. It feeds about every third BB when I’m shooting on full auto.
--The outer shell of one of my grenades has split open and I had to use electrical tape to hold it together. It still works and the tape doesn’t take too much away from it’s cool look.
--I’ve had to replace the plastic buckles on the leg straps for my drop leg holster. They were shot with BB’s too many times and basically shattered.
--Lastly my BDUs are starting to develop pin holes in various places. It’s only a matter of time before a BB finds it way through my uniform.
I have to say that so far the most durable stuff I own for Airsoft is my Blackhawk gear. That stuff wears like steel. I know their stuff is made in a communist country, Vietnam, but they are awesome. I know there are more “American” gear manufacturers but I’m going to stay loyal until I find good enough reason to switch.
