It might sound like a stupid question, but why so many strict rules for people under 18?

Under 18 you are not legally an adult and can sign no legally binding contracts, thus the need for legal guardian to do the signing for you. That being said, we're legally responsible to keep you as safe as possible so.... lotsa rules to keep you from getting hurt.

Honestly, the rules for under 18 are strongly suggested for adults as well but we can allow for adults to be responsible for their own safety.

so dose it mean that you can use 203 grenade rounds or just the launchers?

im going to try and make it out for the 5th

meh i dont think the rules are that strict, i mean i already wear gloves so i guess a neckguard wont be that bad

yeah, i wear gloves too, but there half-fingers. My balaclava reaches down to my neck so is that considered neck protection?

you need full length gloves over the finger full (we suggest this to everyone)

yeah the balaclava covering the neck is neck protection (barely), but you need a hard insert under the face part (mandatory).

as well I suggest you get better neck protection than that, realize that our place is tight and you get point blanked and well a 1 joule bb will leave more than a mark at that distance.

no m203 grenades at all, not in the launcher and not hand fired, none.
you can have the launcher on your aeg but no using the m203's in it.

What is a hard insert?

It's a hard piece of plastic that goes in under your balaclava to protect your mouth so you dont get your teeth shot out...

What is a hard insert?
Jaberwaki basically explained it best... you can also ask Rhys (He's one with a busted front tooth.)

What some of the guys do is use a strap on lower face mask made from a whole mask they removed the goggles from. A few others insert the lower mask (trimmed to fit) under their balaclava.

On the game schedules...
Games start on the hour and half hour, pre ops is 10 minutes out and closes 5 minutes out... so games last up to 20 minutes (short games, such as 5 minutes, are replayed instantly)
so example...
10:20 - ops briefing opens
10:25 - entry to ops closes - (Begins...safety briefing, game rules explained (chosen game) team selections and disperse to the field)
10:30 - game starts
10:50 - game ends latest and ops briefing opens again

See attached sample map of our field, although it doesn't do it justice LOL
Think 48+ doorways that change monthly - open, closed, half top open, half bottom open, cloth covered and more.

Expand your lexicon and find a new revilement; one that doesn't debase another human being(s).

Good use of the first one....
When linguists study the lexicon, they study such things as what words are, how the vocabulary in a language is structured, how people use and store words, how they learn words, the history and evolution of words (i.e. etymology), types of relationships between words as well as how words were created.

but......

revilement - a rude expression intended to offend or hurt

By its very definitions a revilement is ment to hurt and debase, so it would not matter if he found a new one, it would still do the same thing...

:D I couldn't help it....

oh and...

Open you own feild then you can make rules that YOU like... Until then, respect the rules of the ones brave enough to open thier own. ;)

Going off topic; revilement, IMO, works because he could use “insulting” language because it's his opinion and he can think it's (insert expression) if he wants... I wouldn't advise using insulting language but as stated it's his opinion and he is definitely entitled to it.

My problem was that he used the word gay, but it’s probably not advisable to insult anyone (and by extension their ideas).

Getting back on track: We should happy that not only do we have a new and different field to play on, and that our sport is growing, but that our friday night teammates/opponents have started a field/busniess from the ground up!

You know I was just picken on ya...:D

I dont get upset at the missuse of the word gay, since it has not been used in its proper form since the day it has been used to describe anything other then a feeling of happiness.

Some people missuse the word to mean homosexual.
Some people missuse it to mean anything that is less then "mannly" .

Both are just as wrong. Only one is politcally incorrect, but since I piss on political correctness I dont care which of these you mean...

OK

Was that to easy? Should we have had a gentleman's pistol duel on at our 40ft shooting range? (see future game posts on these, they are going to fun, as well future ok coral games like we have at the acme invites)

Fun info...
A duel is a formalized type of combat. As practiced from the 15th to 20th centuries in Western societies, a duel was a consensual fight between two people, with matched deadly weapons, in accordance with rules explicitly or implicitly agreed upon, over a point of honor, usually accompanied by seconds (who might themselves fight), and in contravention of the law.
The duel usually developed out of the desire of one party (the challenger) to redress a perceived insult to his honor. The goal of the duel was not so much to kill the opponent as to gain "satisfaction," i.e., to restore one's honor by demonstrating a willingness to risk one's life for it.

Duels may be distinguished from trials by combat, in that duels were not used to determine guilt or innocence, nor were they official procedures. Indeed, duels were often illegal, though in most societies where dueling was socially accepted, participants in a fair duel were not prosecuted, or if they were, were not convicted. Only gentlemen (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trial_by_combat) were considered to have honor, and therefore qualified to duel. If a gentleman was insulted by a person of lower class he would not duel him but would beat him with a cane or whip or have his servants do so (Hmmm Ideas for rule breaking come to mind :D ). Dueling is now illegal in all but a few countries around the world. Dueling is legal at TAA with pre established rules and having been arranged.

Rules for a pistol duel...
The parties are placed back to back with loaded weapons in hand (each gets a high powered spring all metal pistol) and walk a set number of paces, turn to face the opponent, and shoot. Typically, the graver the insult, the fewer the paces agreed upon.
Alternate...
A pre-agreed length of ground is measured out by the seconds and marked. At a given signal, often the dropping of a handkerchief, the principals advance to the marker and fire at will. This system reduces the possibility of cheating, as neither principal has to trust the other not to turn too soon.

First hit wins.

(See in the future, quick draw old west dueling as well)

As a further update, MR7Q and I got another sneak peak at the arena yesterday, when we went and offered our own special brand of moral support and labor...

The field is coming along quite nicely... A lot of progress has been made since our last visit, and it's looking awesome...

Should be a very quick paced field, and will definitely require a different play style from ACQB.

I'm looking forward to it opening...
