Copied from sticky
added a little twist tell me what you think

Teams: A and B
Objective: Get all the opposing team’s players into your jail
Hits: 1
Setup: Players are divided up into two teams (A&B)
Play: Teams engage each other when the ref signals the start of the game. When a player is hit they immediately call “hit” and proceed to the opposing team’s jail with their hands in the air. The jail is usually located near the opposing team’s starting point. Teammates can rescue players from jail by entering the jail and touching any part of a prisoner. They prisoner is then immediately back in the game. In order to free other teammates either of these players must travel back the center of the field before returning to the jail. The game is over once all players for one team are in jail.

Being that most Jailbreak games last less than 10 mins sometimes even less i thought of something this past weekend that might be a good idea

there are two ways this can be done at least in my mind.

1: is the tradtional way like posted above, but after a certain period of time lets say every 10 mins, if there is no winner the ref signals a JAILBREAK in which both teams have actually "picked the lock" and broken out of jail.

or 2: there is no possible way to actually rescue your men out of jail Meaning no rescues it would boil down to getting the opposite team in the jail without being able to get your guys out unless you survive to the time limit. and at the said period of time above they get let out if is no winner at that time mark. obviously the same goal as above and that to get all of the other players in the jail.

opinions please?

I like alternative 1. Having a full Jailbreak after a certain amount of time would be cool, but the game could go on forever.

I wonder if there is a way to make the Jailbreak something that has to be achieved. For example, if you can get a certain object to the opposing jail, that would allow you get everyone out at once. Essentially bringing the "key" to the jail. You could make it a one time only use or something. This would require the ref to pay close attention but it could be interesting.

that could be done as well..... the key could be "hidden" on the field only allowing one team to get to it....

Idea of a Key to be found is an amazing one. Say include it with the standard jailbreak game, it makes that last guy alive on the other team that much more dangerous... Conversly, if you only allowed jailbreaks only when the key is used, ie one use per key, and keys were hidden, that would add a whole new element to jailbreak.

Sounds like professional dodgeball, LOL, if one man is left on either side, he can aim for the button on the back of the enemies side and if he/she hits it, the other team members come back in.

But yeah, one person is freakin deadly, knowing that, i only feel THAT much more powerful as a solo.

And what would happen if the person who had te key was hit? Does he/she drop it? or what?

Nice idea, having another way out of jail. It becomes harder to break someone out and keep the game rolling when there are a large number of players on the field.

Throw one or two keys in the center of the field and make the teams fight over it, and it becomes a hybrid game of jailbreak/capture the flag. Teams have to decide if they want to play aggressive or cautious.

Think of the objects as charges, rather than keys. This makes the object a single use option.

A hit person should be able to carry the key or charge, but must surrender it if 'searched' by an opposing player. This way the object can change hands.

To make it more of an effort to search a player, you may want to designate one or two people per team as an 'interrogator'. A hit player must be escorted to an interrogator to surrender the key/charge, where the interrogator may redeploy the key/charge to another player. If you can't find an interrogator within say 60 seconds, the hit player goes to jail unsearched due to swift/inefficient justice. That ought to encourage either comms use or planning. Also, too bad if your interrogator(s) gets hit and goes to jail.

I'll throw one in the mix...

Each team is given a key.... that is the key to their jail. It is worn on a string in plain site... If that person is shot then they must surrender the key to their jail.
If you have the key to the other teams jail you may release all of your guys at once when you make it to the jail....
The key can be got back by the other team in the same manner...

ONLY the person that has the key can release the prisoners!

If you have the key and are shot you must drop it right where you got shot no throwing it to your buddys....
