In response to the Full-Metal P226 thread, here's ANOTHER spot of news from my new-stuff posting rampage.

Kuan Ju Works have released their full metal P226's. They come in four variations and are priced differently depending on the colour scheme, the cheapest is the black one and the most expensive version is the full silver one. They are retailing in Taiwan for NT$ 4000 to NT$ 4500 (roughly £70-£80). Unlike previous KJW releases they recommend you use 134a with this pistol which weighs in a 1125g, overall length of 196mm and a mag capacity of 25+1 made out of aluminium and zinc alloy.

Oh yes, just when i was thinking of going and spending a stupid amount of cash of a full metal sig, kjw save me. One thing i so question though is the 134a gas only thing, does this mean the 226 is made of horrible pot metal?"

I'm sorry, but that picture makes the finish on that pistol look like ass... I was thinking about waiting for this one, but I figured if I was only going to have one pistol, TM probably makes a better quality one internally, and I really didn't feel like sacrificing on the externals.

Plus, the fact that they recommend 134a is somewhat suspiscious.

The SIG is one of the most beautiful pistols there is out there. It deserves to be treated well.

Yeah, I'm going to have to agree with you there, Mr7q. Perhaps that isn't the proper finish, though, other pictures showed them actually looking quite nice.
I'll try to get a few pics onto the boards for you.

EDIT: Impressed with the fact it can punch through the bottom of a coke-can, though. That's one good sign.

From the ones I've seen, they look OK at best... No trades, and pretty poor material.

I'm a diehard SIG afficionado. I expect nothing less than perfection.

(Which is why I'm probably going to dump around $500 into getting a good SIG 226 set up. :( )

Ah, makes sense.
We'll see how these hold up... personally, I hate Duster/134a. I'm a Coleman's Propane guy...

I personally prefer either 9mm Parabellum or .45 ACP, but people get sort of peeved when you shoot at them.

Is the SIG the gun Tom Cruise had in Collateral?

I think that one was an HK USP Tactical or somesuch.

Actually, they probably gave him the Compact such that it would look like a normal pistol compared to his extremely dwarfish frame.
