I was acutally watching the movie the other night for some reason or another. The idea is to have 1 Ranger Chalk (more people then normal lets say 6people)lets say in Bank with the dummy already. Then have the remaining Rangers start in the rooms behind the warehouse. The must act like the UN Convo that took the rangers out of the city. They must fight their way to the calk in the Bank, and then escort them(with dummy) back to their starting point. The Skinnys can only exit the staging room via the side door thats exits between B-C.. Any other ideas? I think it may be worth a try, but will be hard to set up and get everyone on the same page.

Wow... yet another version of Black Hawk Down. Sounds good but what is there to prevent the slaughtering of skinnys as they walk outta the staging area?

I think my biggest problem with Blackhawk Down is that Ive never played it the same way twice. Ever. There are so many versions of that game and soo many variables that change every time we play it. This makes the game very confusing as Im never sure which rules apply to the current version were playing and which dont. So although I like youre idea, Lets create a new game out of it and call it something new entirelly. No need to go confuing the poor noobs(or me) anymore than we have to.

he raises a good point, i can remember many times where people assume rules for Black Hawk and it end up getting crazy and people getting a little pissed...... stupid bunker and stupid moving the dummy and stupid chuck not realizing he moved it!

I'm in the same boat with you guys. Every time I've played BHD, it's been a different version. Whether it's something as small as the amount of rangers in a chalk to whether or not chalks are allowed to leave their post after a certain time, it's never really been the same each time.
For the record, I don't like the "chalks not being able to leave" version. Every time we've played that one, the skinnies always win.

heh i played once when the chalks werent allowed to move and won. Me and my chalk were defending 7-11, and to make it worse skinnys were under the impression they had 2 hits, man was that game just a slaughter fest.

We could name it something else, But the game pretty much be a a Ranger team my escort a team out of the danger zone into a safe zone. We just have to make sure the Ranger teams dont camp the spawn area, and close the vent shaft. SO the Rangers are forced to take either the A buidling and work their way back or go through B-C area. But it wouldn't be easy when you really think about it. I like this idea and think it could be atleast tested once.

True, thats a good name. I like that. I'm going to try to give a run this friday, but I dunno how well it will go down without explaining it 9 million times, LOL, We'll see it if it works.

This game had one major flaw the first time we played it, how the skinnies were deployed. I was on the rescue chalk (the one that starts in the SW corner offices). We had split our chalk in two. When the game started the second team from our chalk flew through A building got to the other second chalk with the pilot and escorted them back to our starting point. We booked into B and started slaughtering skinnies. They got pinned in the staging area and the hallway between B and C building. In truth the game was over in less than five minutes. The problem was the skinnies were not able to get to A fast enough to secure it.
We immediately tried the game again with the skinnies already deployed. This proved much more challenging. I didn’t make it through the game but I know the rangers won.
All and all this was a solid game (the second time). It is very similar to Pinned Down but with the additional element of carrying the pilot across the entire field.

IF i do play tomorrow I have some other rules in mind for the game. Like closing the vent shaft all together, and limiting ranger near staging room doors because of firing into the staging area or right as skinnies exited onto the field.
