Teams: A&B

Objective: Find and open the opposing team's lockbox and sound off with the airhorn inside; keep the other team away from your lockbox

Hits: 1 (respawn)

Special Equipment: 1 lockbox per team. Each box contains an air horn. The key to open the lockbox is attached to the box.

Setup: The ref puts each team's lockbox in a designated spot. This will be somewhere on the half of the field where each team starts. Both teams will know where the opposing team's box is. Teams are then divided up normally and deployed to their respective starting areas.

Play: The ref signals the start of the game. When a player is hit they must immediately precede to their respective respawn points. After thirty seconds they may return to play. Players may only touch a lockbox in order to open it. Teams may camp their own lockbox to prevent the opposing team from opening it. The game is over once an opposing lockbox has been opened and the air horn inside sounded.

Good idea. I was thinking more of a key lock. there will be one key and one pair of lockcutters hidden on the field. You have to find one oif them and use it to open the lock and get the box. Inside the box are two flags one for each team. You must take the flag back to your base or the opposing teams base. If the person holding the flag is "killed" other members of the team can take it from him/her and keep advancing.

There is a key lock on both. The key is attached to the box with fishing line.

It's a bit like "capture the flag" without having to bring the flag to your side of the field. My fear is that you end up using the same tactics as "capture the flag".

A couple of twists:
1. On each team have a single designated "key holder". He starts off with the team's key. Only he can carry the key and open the lock box.

2. Only the "Key Holders" are able to respawn. Everyone else has 2 hits. If the Key Holder is hit, he must return to the respawn point for 1 minute.

3. Camping out on the respawn point is OK. Being in the respawn point is better. If the opposite team is in the respawn point, the "Key Holder" is held hostage and cannot come out until his team clears the respawn point.

I really like your second idea. We may have to try that.

Guys keep in mind that this is a new game so please offer any comments as possible. That's what turns a good game into a great one.
