Hi, I'm the admin for the Alabama Airsoft Forums (http://bbgunmilitia.proboards77.com/index.cgi). I haven't been playing Airsoft for very long (since about March), but I'm a quick learner and have already started upgrading my gun's internals. (I'm the type to go out and vacuum up any and every bit of information I can find on a subject I'm interested in learning).

My current load out is:
Set of Summer BDUs (switched the standard brown undershirt for a Nike "underarmor"-like long sleeve shirt, as it keeps me cooler.

Classic Army M15A4 Rifle
Prometheus Tightbore (6.03mm) Inner Barrel,
Systema Silent Piston Head and Cylinder Head.
Systema Air Nozzle
PDI 120% Spring (Ordered the wrong part, so this is back up for the CA spring, for now).
8.4v 1400 or 1700 (can't recall off hand)

2 CA Hi-Cap Mags
8 Mid-caps (switching over due to problems with Hi-Cap feeds [Worst part about a CA gun is their crap hi-caps]).

About to order a Systema M120 spring, and a 9.6v 3300maH batt; and that should take care of my outdoor weapon, for the time being.

Me and the guys I play with started playing in Weaver, Alabama (near Anniston) back in March, and at our July game we had 24 people show up from as far away as Chattanooga, TN! Which is awesome for a monthly game we just started.

I'm in Birmingham, there's a few guys from Huntsville that come down, and a few guys from Montevallo that play at our field.

We have guys from 15 - 50 that play with us, regularly. Some of us with Military experience, and some without. We play casual, objective based games that vary from 10 minutes to 6 hours.

Great to have you on the forums! Sounds like you enjoy airsoft, at least enough to start dumping money into your primary. I've been playing for a little while but Im no expert. From what I've learned, I would highly recommend thebore up kit as one of the first upgrades. It makes so much sense, I often wonder why CA doesnt make it that way from the factory - but then they wouldnt make as much money from the upgrades accessories. The bore up kit will turn your gun from an old Briggs and Stratton to a new Honda. It isthat much better. The 9.6 3300 mAh I purchased from All-batteries.com has served its purpose and because I've soldered on deans connectors on my weapons, the batteries can be switched so I never have a dead one (not that it will ever die from one day of playing). I'm pretty sure you'll have great luck with the 9.6 batt.
