View Full Version : 7/21 Recap
Friday night was another hot night... not too many ACME people there (at least compared to 7/14), but it was still a good night... lots of noobs there...
one big thing, for me at least, was that Tim had finished upgrading my AK (more on that in another thread, once i get around to it), and i had my drum mag... so, all in all, a good night for my AK to whet its teeth on...
don't really remember anything horrendously awesome or horrendously terrible about the night, but i think it was pretty good all around...
(sorry about what is probably the worst recap of a night yet... i just don't feel like thinking too much...)
Friday night was another hot night...
And that's why I haven't shown up in ages. I really, really do want to shoot people though, but I don't react well to heat at all.
Now where's the thread with those cooling vests?

hey does anyone play Thursday nights?
My son will be up and I can bring him in for awhile. But not doing it if no one else is gonna be there.
Yeah the heat is too much for me to ...
The cooling vest only holds out about 1 hour, then you have to switch out the colling panels. I'm working on moding mine even more to make that easier. When I get it done, I'll rebirth that thread and show you exactly what I did... if it works LOL

I could show up Thursday. Ideally it won't be quite as hot, since there won't be 80 sweaty people running about. Also, not having played in a month or so, I could use a gentle re-introduction. And, I need to harass Steve about the trigger switch for my STAR PARA.

I completely agree with the heat thing and that is the reason I have been playing in a tank top. It may move me from having welts to flesh wounds, but it is infinitely cooler and in my opinion worth the pain. I was there Friday and the heat was tolerable with the absence of the layers most people play in.

The big thing I remember from Friday is we had a lot of semi games later in the night that were quite fun...

ok startng a thread about that
If I could show up with welts all over my body, I'd play in just a t-shirt. But, since I have to deal with the customer, looking like a heroin addict would be a sure way to not make the bosses happy.
