Teams: Predators (typically limited to two players) and Marines

Objective: Marines, kill all the Predators. Predators, kill all the Marines

Hits: Marines 1, Predators 5

Setup: One or two players are designated as the Predators in secret by the ref. All other players are Marines. The Marines always wear the orange vests and be able to fire their weapons on full auto. The Predators also wear vests and will always fire their weapons on semi auto.

The Predators may only shoot at the Marines when they take off their vests. The reason for this is that the Predators may travel with the Marines and blend in with everyone. This simulates the Predators' optical body armor that makes them invisible. The removal of their vest represents him turning off his camouflage (just like in the movie).

Play: All players enter the field and hunt the Predators. All players begin to sweep the field waiting for the Predators to reveal themselves. The Predators have five minutes to reveal themselves and engage the Marines. If a Marine is hit, they are eliminated. If a Predator is hit they call their hit and its respective number. Once the Preditor has been hit five times they are eliminated. The game is over once all Marines are eliminated or the Predators are eliminated.

I played this for the first time last Saturday and had a blast. I was one of the Predators and had to lie pretty convincingly to lure people into secluded parts of the field to kill them. The only down side to this game is waiting for everyone to be assigned their rolls of either Predator or marine.

Hmm... I like the sound of that game, really. A nice switch from the Army vs. Army that's going on nowadays.
Either that or Pacman...

That's an excellent point Bob. I'm playing around with some big game ideas that sway from the norm of just military vs military (and sometimes vs more military). While I haven't played any big games yet I'm sure they are a blast in their own right.

I love the fact that Airsoft offers the most realistic (to date) military simulations but we can take the sport further with perhaps Action/Adventure Movie simulations as well.
